Today I am going after Bill McKibben after having read little more than half of his scare book “Eaarth.” What rankled my attention this morning was a thread through I was carrying in my thoughts about his saying that the oceans went from a pH of 8.2 to 8.1, and that showed acidification. At 8.1 the ocean waters are still alkaline. The hinge point is 7 on the scale being used. Then by page ninety he states “the acidic oceans,” which they clearly are not. By his earlier statement of 8.1 the oceans are akaline. I will be one of the first to tell you that use of fossil fuels will release Sulfur in massive quantities, especially from the bunker fuel used by ocean going vessels. What is being chanted by Bill, and consequently he has a priority to fund 350.org for his personal vision that the problem is carbon. That’s where I disagree. He even suggests around page one hundred (I’m being lazy, the book’s right next to me) that to slow global warming we spray Sulfur into the skies. For this pilgrim in the process, I view Sulfur as just so much more devilish filth for the acidification of everything. It seems by investigative testing that chemtrails as they are known are being made from boron, a natural buffer for radiation particles, and aluminum; very reflective. Since it takes a jet plane and mucho carbon to fly it up there, I further believe in some nefarious plot by the elite to “depopulate” the planet, and that is why depleted uranium ammunition and Fukdust contamination is not perceived as a threat. Aluminum in our soils, water and air is a threat. Sulfur in our harbors is a threat, as it is in the air, causing damage now. Sulfur is what really eats the marble statutes of antiquity, carbolic acid is no where near as dangerous as sulfuric acid .
While I was reading this morning, and planning this critique, I also began to study the way McKibben uses I-we-you writing. In most places he simply means “I” and uses “you” instead, such as when he describes “you could still make out the old cellar holes … (pg. 126)” I will warn any of you that just because you go into the woods, or you take a friend, sometimes you will not see the cellar holes because you will have no experience seeing those kinds of things in woody regrowth. I expect as time goes on, the old bridges I used to travel over on my family’s trip from Loudonville to Lake George, will disappear very soon as plants soak up carbon dioxide.
I do not doubt climate change. And much of what Mr. McKibben has to report about the various changes of our system have validity. My beef with the system people, and clearly Mr. McKibben’s association with “New York” publishing and the current fashion of Agenda 21 coming out of the old views of the United Nations. They are old views because much of Agenda 21 rests on a eugenics foundation expoused and funded by the Rockefeller clan. I won’t turn this review into a rehash of this eugenics claim, the evidence is already all over the net, some good and true, some just polemics, as Mr. McKibben is fancy at. He expouses the United Nations Marxism with statements like, “We have to make that wealth [(past two hundred years accumulated)]last us. We had better not squander what inheritance we still have, and we had better figure out how to share some of it with people already suffering from the environmental woes our profligacy caused (pg. 127).” On the other hand, in Africa my permaculturist farm mate informs me, people took the drought into their own hands and began making mini-oasis with trees and growing veggies around them. Twice now Mr. McKibben has writen that the rest of the book will be about solutions. The first statement to that was followed by a very short version of history as McKibben wants you to see it. I’ve read sections of this book on Carolyn Baker’s “Speaking Truth to Power” website before now. Carolyn wants your therapy checks. And donations of course, but talk science of electromagnetics and Earth core heating, along with Mars, Uranus, and the Sun’s activity itself, and I experience rejection. The Global Warmists, relying on old outdated information to pump scare tactics for their Agenda 21, have become a new gnostic religion. “You must know” Global Warming or you will die a horrible death with a hurricane in your back yard, a flood in your river, and no gasoline for your car. There is an actuary table, and everyone is on it. No one gets out of this place alive. Much the better, and here I agree with McKibben and the global warmists, wouldn’t it be nice if we can leave the world a better, heathier place for the Seventh Generation to come? Now if you are a business man like George Soros, and want to make a profit in the future, you are going to have to deal with these Marxists wanting your wealth. I’m a Libertarian-Jeffersonian and I want your money, too. I have designs for solar, hot water, housing, that no one has wanted to fund since the 1970’s, but then I witnessed rejection of Buckminster Fuller, Milton Wend, and many oldtimers who were working from the principle that fossil fuels was a common inheritance of being human on this planet and we should not squander it. They warned us of overshoot, which is what we have done. I have to exclude myself from the exuberance of hubris as a conserver of fuels since 1971 and a two child parent. Frankly folks, I expected the technocrats to step up to the plate and do a few things that would have made our current situation much different. One is these old nuclear plants designed by now dead people. Come on GE, you’re not even close to “progress is our most important product” in nuclear plants. They’re all under designed rust buckets leaking all over the place. Two is the medical community. Radiation and flesh are anathema, whatever happened to irradiated vegetable seeds? In the 70’s a few of us studying biodynamic and Rodale agricultural methods–I was a subscriber to “Compost News” published by Rodale for the serious market–and with people like Adelle Davis and Dr. William Albrecht, we believed that nutrition could erase many problems allowing the medical profession to concentrate on what they do best, put Humpty Dumpty back together again. No, that was not the case, the chemtrail folks wanted your cancers and deficiencies because they are more lazy scientists in it for their self aggrandizement and profit. The end result is people like Donald Rumsfeld and Dick “mechanical heart” Cheney, killers on the road with brains squirming like a toad.
Mr. McKibben has a good life teaching young people and writing books for the “New York” establishment. I would venture to say he is privileged in ways that he could give up some so that I might afford to live–as a general contractor these are times of very few clients–and when I meet him someday at a Vermont talk on “global climate change,” I’m going to ask you Mr. McKibben, to give me a hundred dollar gift as a commitment to your ideas of the future. And why not, I should call you Bill, as I am teaching young people what it takes to “make a crop,” figuring my value is about $45,000 a year in farm management services and instruction of what my land staker calls “indigo children.” He’s 82, I’m 63, and we have a cluster of 30 y.o. Saturn returns. I’m doing my “public service” teaching skills to survive in the Eaarth, and on the earth. Mr. McKibben says “We need safety,” to deal with surviving. There is no such thing, because we are in an unsafe place in the universe, much more likely to encounter a pole shift, an asteroid, or as some say a Planet X than to find “safety” on a slimy cinder in space. The “magnetosphere” may provide us with some enlightenment very shortly.
This morning before I began to write, I scanned my news sources for head lines and found this:
NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth’s atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.
Study co-author Dr. Roy Spencer, a principal research scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and U.S. Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer flying on NASA’s Aqua satellite, reports that real-world data from NASA’s Terra satellite contradict multiple assumptions fed into alarmist computer models. (Yahoo News )
Computer models are woefully inadequate for true study of natural phenomenon simply because not one single one of us has enough detail to make the things mimic a living system. If Gaea is alive as Lovelock theorizes, then McKibben is right about being slapped back hard. Our effects on carbon dioxide, a ground hugging gas unlikely to be making blankets in the upper atmosphere; mostly water vapor on dust as five miles up it gets pretty hard to breathe. On the jacket cover of my library book it says:
Our old familiar globe is suddenly melting, drying, acidifying, flooding, and burning in ways that no human has ever seen.”
“Suddenly” last summer. The planet is melting and here’s the map. Volcanos are popping off puting massive amounts of carbon in the atmosphere, and that is more respondent to the magnetosphere and space weather; also indicates subsurface activity way beyond the global warming reach. If the magnetics of the planet change, the poles move. They are! The North magnetic pole is moving closer to Russia than it’s old location near Canada. Airlines have had to make adjustments, ground flights, change computers, to ensure the safe arrival, at least in navigation. If the flight controllers are asleep because we have messed up the exchange and flow of the economy, safety via TSA may just mean a stain where your plane came down. I promise, Bill, I’m going to read the whole thing. I’m very curious how a college instructor comes up with the practical solutions to change our world.
The idea that this is a new planet because of what we have done strikes me as a DUH! And I believe that in the hearts of most of us we really do wish to see everyone enjoy a self fulfilling future. Perhaps the way to Agenda 21 sustainability will come from within people seeing real problems. One real and extremely real probelm is the deregulation of finance so that it became a closed loop for psychopaths who have little or no concern for the rest of us. They believe they have the right to be “superior.” In fact, the violence directed at civilians right now is for the Agenda 21 genocide the so called elite are preparing with lowbrow stupidity. Fukushima, and Ft. Calhoun make this a very different world now from the one 350.org was supposed to save us from. Dare I say that Mr. McKibben has the terminal “whiteman’s disease,” wanting to be a hero in saving (safing?) the world. He advocates electric cars, so if you’re in a poor neighborhood, those larger than fossil fuel carbon footprint hybrids I witness cutting in and out of traffic, will dump even more sulfur and radioactivity upon you. Who cares, on the New Hampshire side, how much radiation Yankee Vermont leaks? Who cares down the Connecticut River that a fisherman who fished there for years ended up with jellied bones in his feet so that he could no longer stand up in his elder years? The medical community will prescribe serotonin uptake inhibitors so don’t worry, be happy. Wouldn’t it be nice if every once of energy we used in our homes, heated the space, heated the shower water, cooked dinner, and ran the computer? That is possible NOW, folks. The Will is in the investment, and if you or I fall prey to the rich man’s story we don’t count here, that we are the problem and are expendable–so they can own it all–you and I will never find to capital to change. I’ll do what Bill does, I’ll repeat. We can have it now, unsafe as it is in the universe, organic as it comes, with an early 1800’s carbon footprint easily handled by plant/humus production with bio gas digestion, and some new fancy looking technology that Bill and I agree on, wind and solar.
Lately I have been seeking personal answers as to where I fulfill my destiny. My self evaluation, with critique from others, points to the field I have accidentally taken as a career when I accepted my first job on Martha’s Vineyard in 1969. Work changed my tall thin body to a tall muscular body. Reading changed my mind from one who is subject to irrational fears to one who is educated in the way of the Tao– a philosophy also reiterated in the Jesus teachings– and also Western materialist thought. If you read my other blogs you can also detect, if you know, the occult symbolism I am aware of. The cover of McKibben’s book dust jacket from my library has two pyramids of white top and bottom, and smaller pentagonal angled white triangles on either side of a large X. Like an inverted symbol on the dollar bill, the top pyramid shape has the earth like half globe and almost looks like alion’s face on the supposed planetary photo. Two side shapes are like the 10:10 that appear in watch ads, it means man over time. Man over the feminine is not what we need now, not in Libya, Afghanistan, nor Iraq.
So far, I am conviced Mr. McKibben is a practicing elite, chanting the elite moniker that the only way to solve our climate change problems is with a world totalitarianism of environmentalism, and we don’t even know if that experiment will treat us any better than what we have now. Mr. McKibben agrees with me on topsoil I’m sure, though up to page 128, very little discussion has involved imbalances of Nitrogen, Chlorine, Florine, Mercury, Cesium, Strontium, and how these things have an effect as deadly as a heat wave only silent running deep within everything. While he wants to cast about to all the things that are going wrong to “change” our planet toward “his” vision of doom, he has the myopic problem of focusing on one detail — 350ppm.
How about we focus on those things we can change, like stop putting trash in the ocean. And remembering will help, remembering that things have been covered up that the elite who want to own it all don’t want you to see. Since my future is in doubt, as a homeless world poverty level general contractor due to the mortgage shenanigans Mr. McKibben includes as a negative item–which it was–my viewpoint of having solutions, of having worked on the Soldier’s Grove Wisconsin solar project in 1979-80; having farmed, trucked, masoned and carpented, and built structures to use sunlight, wood stoves to heat house and water as well as cook, I will do what I can while I have years left to pass on this volume of “Firefox” accumulated managing and making happen projects.
I’ll propose a wager. I’m putting up one once of silver that “global warmists” will not go quietly and will continue until everyone is under a carbon tax. And then, as in Australia now, there will be a revolution of the people the suppresion of said is all planned for the profit it creates. Will Bill McKibben and the alamists read and acknowledge this report:
In addition to finding that far less heat is being trapped than alarmist computer models have predicted, the NASA satellite data show the atmosphere begins shedding heat into space long before United Nations computer models predicted.
The new findings are extremely important and should dramatically alter the global warming debate.
Scientists on all sides of the global warming debate are in general agreement about how much heat is being directly trapped by human emissions of carbon dioxide (the answer is “not much”). However, the single most important issue in the global warming debate is whether carbon dioxide emissions will indirectly trap far more heat by causing large increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds. Alarmist computer models assume human carbon dioxide emissions indirectly cause substantial increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds (each of which are very effective at trapping heat), but real-world data have long shown that carbon dioxide emissions are not causing as much atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds as the alarmist computer models have predicted.
The new NASA Terra satellite data are consistent with long-term NOAA and NASA data indicating atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds are not increasing in the manner predicted by alarmist computer models. The Terra satellite data also support data collected by NASA’s ERBS satellite showing far more longwave radiation (and thus, heat) escaped into space between 1985 and 1999 than alarmist computer models had predicted. Together, the NASA ERBS and Terra satellite data show that for 25 years and counting, carbon dioxide emissions have directly and indirectly trapped far less heat than alarmist computer models have predicted.
In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth’s atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth’s atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict. The author of that article agrees with me:
Whether or not they do so will tell us a great deal about how honest the purveyors of global warming alarmism truly are.
Slow down, save fuel, for more practical reasons than carbon dioxide–carbon monoxide is much worse–realize your small conservation efforts do mount up. Super insulate your homes–fiberglass is really efficient–trim your electric budget, use more hand tools in the yard, those little motors are extremely wasteful. Sit outside more often, turn off the inculcation box, grow something edible and not Genetically Manipulated Ostracism (GMO). Enjoy the huge storms, enjoy being tested by the environment, and if the Indonesian plate is sinking, check with Nancy at Zetatalk about Planet X, or look at some internet coverage of Elenin.
Please consider: “Revelations” is about your personal astrology told in parables, if you have ears to hear. Otherwise, as far as doom, I’m 63.5, the actuary tables say I’m doomed. I hope you don’t mind if I focus on my mission to help make a better world. I must admit, that since 1971, not many of you have seen what I see, that we overshot our best lifestyle simply to “make a buck.” Now go study the pyramid.
